This is the primary international airport in Mumbai, India, and is named after the 17th century Maratha Emperor, Chhatrapati Shivaji. The airport is one amongst a few airports in the world to be located within City municipal limits and has almost reached its saturation point. Hence a massive scale modernisation is underway and once it is completed it is again set to become the busiest airport in the country.

Interestingly Airports Company South Africa is working on the new Mumbai airport.
