The N Scale Train Set Teaser
by Chris van der Leer on October 17th, 2016

This is a brief teaser from my N scale train set project. It’s not ready yet, there are a few tweaks that need to happen before I'll be happy with it.

N scale is a popular model railway scale because you can fit more in less space. N is much more fiddly than HO. The terms N scale and N gauge are often inaccurately used interchangeably, as scale is defined as ratio or proportion of the model, and gauge only as a distance between rails.

This has been a good experience since it brings together a lot of varied skills - track planning, electrical, general word working skills and of course the scene making skills. It’s worth noting that most it’s were recycled to make this train set, the trees and other bits of décor / lighting were sourced directly from China or were acquired second hand here in New Zealand.

Filmed in Christchurch, New Zealand on iPhone.
