Kaiapoi Time-lapse 2016
by Chris van der Leer on October 29th, 2016

A few months ago I spent some time up in the Waimakariri district - I put together another time-lapse video containing the efforts. The latest time-lapse vid using the SJ4000 is below.
The growing river town of Kaiapoi situated in the Waimakariri District of the Canterbury region, in the South Island of New Zealand. The town of Kaiapoi that lies to the north of Christchurch takes its name from the pā that was established in that area around the year 1700.

The Kaiapoi river was  was an important trading centre in the 1850s and 60s, when its waterways allowed cutters, schooners and paddle steamers to service the needs of the pioneering settlers. Home to about 10,700 residents, Kaipoi's  population expected to grow about 13,500 in the next ten years.
