​Significant achievements:​
  • Managed China and Taiwan employee migration component of acquisition, including workstation migration, employee accounts and IT systems to new owners.
  • Managing relocation of Christchurch datacentre to Sydney (80+ VM’s).
  • Designed, developed and implemented a SharePoint based Global Project Portfolio. Management tool, along with a suite of custom tools and reports to provide better visibility around project resourcing for senior management and project managers. ​

My function was to provide value to the customer by ensuring that their projects were effectively and efficiently undertaken. Reporting directly to the IT PMO Manager in Broomfield, Colorado my responsibilities spanned 3 primary areas:

Key achievements in this role:
  • Successfully migrated the IT PMO from Microsoft Project / Project Server to Oracle Primavera environment, this included the seamless realignment of the planning, alignment of project management processes with the new tool, providing training, documentation, etc. without interruption to project managers and project teams.
  • Successfully managed over 70 low to medium risk projects to deliver a wide range of deliverables and associated benefits to customers.
  • Championed the widespread adoption of the IT PMO’s guiding principles and framework by actively promoting project management services across the Asia-Pacific staff. This resulted in the IT PMO having the most mature PMO in the region (Measured at Level 4 of Gartner's PPM Maturity Model).

Significant achievements:
  • Managed over 60 small / medium risk projects to scope, schedule, budget and quality requirements.
  • Achieved a much higher visibility to potential projects in the AP region, and fostered a much closer adherence to the PMO process.
  • After less than 6 months in the role the existing Business Tools & Templates support process was clearly aligned with IT processes, resulting in quicker turnaround times and bringing positive kudos back from the business in Asia-Pacific.

  • Personal citation for a MWH Presidents Award for Outstanding Support in 2007.
  • I lead the team to achieve a reduction of average days open for incidents through a consistent campaign, resulting in a general reduction of 70% of ticket numbers and a change in resolution time from 80 days to an average of 2 weeks.
  • In the global IT department’s 2007 Social Network Analysis survey I was the third most central individual in the information sharing component. I was also ranked as the fifth most energizing personality in the unit (approx. 160 staff worldwide)
